HeyGen Voice AI Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of HeyGen Voice AI, including subscriptions, credits and voice cloning

Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HeyGen Voice AI (the "Service"), an online studio for generating speech with the HeyGen Voice and HeyGen Voice Turbo models. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service is independent. It runs the HeyGen Voice models through fal.ai and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by HeyGen. "HeyGen" is a trademark of its owner and is used only to describe the models the Service provides.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Generating speech requires a verified email address.

Credits

  • Generations are paid for with credits. HeyGen Voice uses 30 credits and HeyGen Voice Turbo uses 4 credits per 1,000 characters of text, rounded up per generation. Current rates are shown on the pricing page.
  • If a generation fails, the credits it used are refunded automatically.
  • Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are not refundable except as described in these Terms.
  • Sign-up bonus credits are granted once per person. We may revoke credits obtained through abuse, such as multiple accounts.

Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
  • Each month of an active subscription grants that plan's monthly credits, including on yearly plans. Unused subscription credits expire at the end of each monthly cycle and do not roll over.
  • You can cancel at any time from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; your plan and remaining credits stay available until then.
  • Upgrades are charged right away (prorated) and the extra credits are granted once the charge is paid. Downgrades take effect from the next billing period.

Credit packs

Credit packs are one-time purchases. Pack credits never expire and are used after subscription credits.

Refunds

If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge. When a payment is refunded, the unused credits it granted are removed from your account, and a refunded subscription period stops granting monthly credits.

Your content and voice cloning

  • You keep all rights to the text you submit and the audio you generate. You grant us the limited rights needed to process your text and recordings and to store your generated audio so you can play and download it.
  • Paid plans may use generated audio commercially. You are responsible for your scripts and for how you use the audio.
  • You may only clone a voice that is your own or that you have the speaker's explicit permission to clone. You must not use the Service to impersonate a real person, deceive or defraud anyone, or create content that is unlawful, harassing, sexual involving minors, or that infringes others' rights.
  • Requests may be screened by automated safety checks, and generations that violate these Terms may be refused.

Prohibited activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of any law or regulation
  • Use generated speech for fraud, scams, election manipulation or non-consensual impersonation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or interfere with the Service
  • Resell or provide automated access to the Service without our written permission

Termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. Unused credits on accounts closed for a violation are forfeited.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". AI-generated speech may contain errors or mispronunciations. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
